Reception

We have a large reception area, complete with weighing scales, lead park and a full wall of seasonal displays and products.

Waiting Room and Consultation Rooms

We have a large waiting room next to the two consultation rooms.  The waiting room always has a seasonal display with plenty of client information sheets available.
Each consultation room is fully equipped with stethoscopes, thermometers, x-ray viewers, opthalmascopes and otoscopes; with more specialist equipment being housed in the ops and procedures room.

Pharmacy

The pharmacy leads off the two consulting rooms and is kept fully stocked with a wide range of medicines so we can choose the right one for each individual case.
The pharmacy houses fridges for storing vaccines, shelves for storing medications, and our laboratory.

Laboratory

The laboratory station includes biochemistry and haematology blood testing machines, centrifuge, microscope and slide staining materials. Here we can test blood from pets, horses and farm animals, analyse cells from lumps and analyse urine and skin scrapes, all with same day results.

Kennel Room

Our kennel room has 16 stainless steel kennels of various sizes to fit a variety of patients, from Great Danes to week old kittens! We have a dedicated kennel room nurse who makes sure the inpatients are always happy and comfortable (and get lots of cuddles).

Ops Room

Now the refurbishment is complete we have a purpose built theatre.  We have an adjustable operating table to fit all patients with isoflurane anaesthetic trolley, specialist lighting, infusion pumps for fluids, and purpose built scrub sink.

Dental and radiography room

We have a new dental machine with air drill, polisher and scaler, for use with our small animal patients to keep their teeth in good working order!  We also have an x-ray machine and developer in this room.  The x-ray machine is used on site for small animal patiens, but can be transported out to allow us to x-ray horses at visits.  This room also houses our ultrasonic instrument cleaner and autoclave for sterilising our surgical instruments.

Isolation kennels and lambing shed

For infectious small animal patients we have isolation kennels away from the main body of the practice to prevent transmission of infectious diseases. This room also doubles as our lambing shed, where you will often see both ewes andlambs coming and going at the right time of year!! We also have facilities here for housing smaller farm animals, such as sick calves, or rams for fertility work.
